Perused the record. The petitioners have filed this writ petition to quash the selection under Annexure-2 by the Orissa Public Service Commission in Orissa Civil Services Examination 2006 ignoring 33% of reservation for Women candidates. They further seek for direction to prepare a fresh list maintaining 33% reservation for women candidates in Orissa Civil Services Examination.
Though the writ petition has been filed in 2010, till date no notice has been issued to the opposite parties. In any case, the selection pursuant to advertisement under Annexure-1 has already over since 2006-2007. In that view of the matter, the writ petition has become infructuous by efflux of time. Accordingly, the same is disposed of.
