Perused the record. The petitioner has filed this application seeking for a direction to opposite party no.1, Superintendent of Police, Sambalpur to take action against the opposite party no.3 pursuant to written report submitted by him.
Mr. P. Mohapatra, learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State submits that he has no instruction in the matter.
In view of the law laid down by the apex Court in
Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh and
others, (2014) 2 SCC 1, written report should be registered by the police. Since written report has not been registered, this Court directs to register the written report and to take follow up action in accordance with law as per the judgment in Lalita Kumari (supra).
With the above observation and direction, the CRLMP stands disposed of.
