21.06.2016 Learned counsel for the petitioner wants to withdraw the writ petition to file
appeal before the Commandant, Home Guards. He further submits that a direction may be issued
to the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal on merit.
Considering the innocuous prayer, this writ petition is disposed of with an ob
servation that if the petitioner files appeal within a period of fifteen days from today, the
Commandant, Home Guards shall do well to dispose of the same on merit within a period of three
months thereafter after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
