02. 18.04.2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned c
ounsel for the Vigilance Department.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is read
y and willing to deposit Rs.4,00,000/- towards the alleged misappropriated amount without prej
udice to his rights and contentions.
On the petitioner depositing an amount of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four l
akhs) with the Branch Manager, Odisha State Cooperative Bank, Cuttack Branch, Cuttack, within
two weeks hence, he shall be released on bail by the arresting officer in connection with Cut
tack Vigilance P.S. Case No.59 of 2014, corresponding to V.G.R. No.59 of 2014, pending before
the learned Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, on such terms and conditions as the arresting o
fficer may deem just and proper.
It is made clear that if the petitioner defaults in making the payment
as directed above, he shall not be entitled to the benefit of this order.
It is needless to say that petitioner shall appear before the Investig
ating Officer as and when required and cooperate in the investigation.
The deposit made by the petitioner shall be without prejudice to his r
ights and contentions.
ABLAPL is accordingly disposed of
