JUDGMENT

1. The present appeal [Appeal No.17 of 2025(SZ)] is directed against the impugned Proceeding dated 14.02.2025 passed by the TNPCB, vide Proceeding No.: TNPCB/T1/F.028213/Sealing of unit/Water/2025, directing the District Collector, Chennai, to seal the cattle farm namely, M/s. P.M. Enterprises, which is the appellant herein located inside the premises of Dr. M.G.R. Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women.

2. The appellant has filed an Appeal No.27 of 2025 before the Appellate Authority Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and the appellant was not present during the proceedings. While

dismissing the appeal, the Appellate Authority TNPCB has recorded that the Board had already filed the report stating that they are in the process of vacating the cattle shed from that place and now it was learnt that they have already vacated the land and there is no pollution caused by the alleged cattle shed. The said order was passed on 17.11.2025 by the Appellate Authority in Appeal No.27 of 2025.

3. In the report dated 14.01.2026 filed by the TNPCB, it is stated that, on 11.09.2025, when the inspection was caused, there were only 3 cows, 1 bull and 2 calves. Later, a communication dated 22.09.2025 was received from the Zonal Health Officer, GCC, Zone 13, stating that the unit had shifted cattle farm from the said location. The same was witnessed during the inspection of the site by the TNPCB officials on 23.09.2025. The appellant unit has also sent a letter on 24.09.2025 to the TNPCB confirming that the cattles have been shifted.

4. In view of the above development and it is also acknowledged by Ms. Smitha GS, Advocate representing Mr. A. Yogeshwaran, the learned counsel appearing for the applicant in O.A. No.213 of 2024 (SZ), it would be appropriate to close both the matters.
