The Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd respondent

to give police protection to the petitioner for measuring the properties comprised in survey NOs.347/1A, 347/1C, 348/8A, 348/8B and 348/8C Chenkanavaram Village, Kalavai Taluk, Ranipet District by the Government Surveyor deputed by the 4th Respondent.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

The petitioner owned a land comprised in New survey number NOs.347/1A, 347/1C, 348/8A, 348/8B and 348/8C Chenkanavaram Village, Kalavai Taluk, Ranipet District. In order to survey the said land, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 14.12.2025 before the 1^st & 3rd respondents. Subsequently, when the revenue officials attempted to conduct survey on 08.01.2026, the private respondents, namely the respondents 5 to 8, who have no right over the subject property unlawfully interfered with the survey proceedings, threatened the petitioner, revenue officials and prevented the survey proceedings. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation to the 4^th respondent seeking adequate police protection to the revenue officials to conduct survey and demarcation in the subject property. Since the said representation evoked no response, this writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

4.Without expressing nay opinion on the merits of the case, the 2^nd respondent is directed to conduct enquiry, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and respondents 5 to 8 and pass appropriate orders to provide police protection on merits and proceed in accordance with law.
