ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the employees of the 4^th respondent to erect electric poles to give for giving electricity connection to the petitioner’s lands.

2.The petitioner owns lands comprised in Survey Nos.101/1, 101/4A, 76/1B, 95/4, 99/1 and 99/2, situated at Vasaputhur Village, Cuddalore. The petitioner applied for electricity service connection for the said lands. On receipt of the said application, the 4^th respondent visited the petitioner’s lands for erecting electric poles to provide electricity service connection. At that time, the 5^th respondent, objected the 4^th respondent from discharging his official duty. Therefore, the 4^th respondent requested the petitioner to arrange for adequate police protection to provide electricity. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the 3^rd respondent seeking adequate police protection to the 4^th respondent and his employees while erecting the electric poles to provide

electricity service connection for his lands.

3.In view of the above, the 3^rd respondent is hereby directed to conduct an enquiry on the representation of the petitioner, after issuing notice to the 4^th and 5^th respondent and to pass orders to provide adequate police protection to the 4^th respondent and his employees while erecting electric poles to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner’s lands, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
