PRAYER – This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to conduct an enquiry and make necessary entry in A register of U.Keeranur Village and issue transfer of patta in the name of the petitioner viz., the land comprising in Survey Nos. 374/1A1A, 374/1A1B and 374/1A2 ad-measuring an-extent of 52 cents which is situated at U.Keeranur Village, Uludurpettai Taluk, Kallakurchi District by considering the petitioner’s application/representation dated 12.03.2026.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to transfer the patta in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition, based on the petitioner’s application dated 12.03.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner claims that he is the absolute owner of the properties morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition. He claims that he became the owner by virtue of the specific performance decree obtained from a Civil Court. The Executing Court has also delivered possession of the property to the petitioner based on the Civil Court judgment. The petitioner has filed supporting documents along with this application dated 12.03.2026, with the respondent seeking for transfer of patta in his name. Since the said application has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner’s application as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the necessary parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s application.

5.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s application dated 12.03.2026 seeking for transfer of patta in his name for the properties morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of any third party, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
