The present review application has been filed to review the order

of this Court dated 12.03.2026 passed in W.P.No.9838 of 2021. This Court passed an order based on the joint inspection report submitted by the Revenue Tahsildar, Ambattur Taluk, for removal of encroachments.

2.The learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the review petitioner would submit that in the joint inspection report, the Tahsildar has stated that there is no clarity as to whether the Salai is a private or public. The officials of the Greater Chennai Corporation has addressed a letter to the Tahsildar to clarify the same on 14.01.2026. The said letter has been addressed to the writ petitioner by stating the above said facts. After getting due clarification from the Tahsildar concerned, further action will be initiated by following due process of law.

3.There is an internal communication between the Greater Chennai Corporation Authorities and the Revenue Tahsildar, Ambattur. In the joint inspection report, the Tahsildar, Ambattur has stated that the review petitioner is an encroacher. Thus the petitioner has not established any error apparent on record warranting exercise of review jurisdiction.

4.Therefore, the review application stands dismissed. However,

there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
