This Civil Revision Petition (CRP) has been filed seeking for a limited relief. The petitioner seeks for early disposal of the suit O.S.No.167 of 2016, pending on the file of Sub-Court, Mettur.

The petitioner is the second defendant in the suit. The suit has been

filed for declaration by the first respondent/plaintiff. The suit is in the stage of trial. According to the petitioner, several adjournments have been granted by

the trial Court, and there is no progress in the suit. Since the suit is of the year 2016, the petitioner seeks for early disposal of the suit.

No prejudice will be caused to any of the parties if a direction is issued to the trial court to dispose of the aforesaid suit within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. After giving due consideration to the year of the suit and the present stage of the suit, this Court directs the Sub-Court, Mettur, to dispose of the suit O.S.No.167 of 2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents, notice to them in this CRP is dispensed with. No Costs.
