On the ground that the petitioner's grandfather had gifted land in S.No. 787 to the Government for running a school and that the petitioner resides in the said land after the school stopped functioning, the petitioner had applied for grant of patta in respect thereof.

Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the matter is pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer for consideration. He submits that orders would be issued on merits within three months.

In the above facts and circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Revenue Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner's request and pass orders thereon on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. No costs.
