PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent No.4 to regularize the petitioner's property measuring an extent of 998 ½ in Survey No.204/B4, Door No.86B/2, Avvaiyar Street, Jeeva Nagar, Madakulam Village, Madurai district, under the G.O.No. 565 dated 26.09.2008 passed by the first respondent under the innocent buyers category and confirm the title and possession of the petitioner's land to the petitioner by consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.04.2022 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Honourable Court.

Jeeva Nagar, Madakulam Village, Madurai district, under the G.O.No. 565 dated 26.09.2008 passed by the first respondent under the innocent buyers category, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.04.2022.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Rameshkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that his father purchased the above mentioned property under a registered sale deed dated 16.03.1996. Later, the 4^th respondent issued a direction not to register any document pertaining to the said property, as the same was covered by the notification issued under the Urban Land Ceiling Act. The petitioner, who purchased the property without notice of the said proceedings, submitted a representation to the respondents on 13.04.2022, seeking regularisation of the property under G.O.Ms.565, dated 26.09.2008. The said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the

respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the 2^nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.04.2022, in the light of the G.O.(Nilai)No.565, dated 26.09.2008 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
