This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of

mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, the fourth respondent

to take action on the representation made by the petitioner wherein the petitioner has sought for cancellation of patta issued in the name of respondents 5 to 12.

Heard Mr.T.Balachandran, learned counsel for petitioner and

Mr.M.R.Gokulkrishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4.

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on

behalf of respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the petitioner had given a representation to the official respondents and thereafter, the same has been forwarded to the file of the fourth respondent. Learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that enquiry will be conducted after affording opportunity to respondents 5 to 12 and orders will be passed within the time frame fixed by this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the

case and the submissions made on either side, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent to conduct enquiry after affording opportunity to the petitioner and respondents 5 to 12 and final orders shall be passed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
