When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the Letter No.8717324/SW-7(1)/2024-4, dated 09.04.2025 of the Secretary to Government issued to the petitioner was placed before this Court.

In the considered view of this Court, the grounds that were raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner cannot be dealt in this Contempt Petition since the scope of the contempt jurisdiction is very limited. This Court cannot expand the scope of the contempt jurisdiction. In view of the same, it is left open to the petitioner to challenge the communication dated 09.04.2025 issued by the Secretary to Government and work out his remedy in the manner known
