This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the second respondent to rectify the revenue records in S.No.294/1 to an extent of 65.0 Ares (1 Acre 61 Cents), at Melarajakularaman, Keelarajakularaman, Sub Registrar Office,
Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 19.06.2023.
2. With the consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. The petitioner purchased the property in S.No.294/1, to an extent of 65.0 Ares (1 Acre 61 Cents), at Melarajakularaman, Keelarajakularaman, Sub
Registrar Office, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District . Ever since the purchase the petitioner was in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner approached the revenue department for issuance of patta and the

same was granted on 20.03.2007, in Patta No.3178. While so, the petitioner came to understand that the land was wrongly classified as Government land (Anadheenam) in the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the the revenue authorities on 30.01.2023, to rectify the revenue records. As no action was taken on the petitioner's representation, the petitioner sent another representation on 19.06.2023, to the first respondent, seeking rectification of the revenue records. As no action was taken by the respondents, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.
