This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order dated 28.12.2023 passed by the 4th respondent in Na.Ka.No. 122/Kaa.Thu.Ka/Siva.Oo.Ko/2023 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to grant permission for conducting Vadamadu Manjuvirattu scheduled on 07.01.2024 from 09.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m at Ponnampatti Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District in the light of the Manthaiamman Temple Festival and the death anniversary of Ravanan and Annadurai on the basis of the representations dated 22.12.2023 and 01.01.2024 within the time stipulated in accordance with law.

respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.R.Meenakshi Sundaram, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice for respondents 3 to 5.
3. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4 .The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner made a representation on 22.12.2023 to the respondents, seeking permission to conduct the event of Vadamadu Manjuvirattu scheduled on 07.01.2024 from 09.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m at Ponnampatti Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District in the light of the Manthaiamman Temple Festival and the death anniversary of Ravanan and Annadurai. However, the 4th respondent through the impugned order has rejected the request of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.
5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the place in question is not come under the notified area and

therefore, the petitioner may approach the Government through the District Collector, for conducting Vadamadu Manjuvirattu.
6. In view of the aforesaid submission, we are not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Government through the District Collector, Sivagangai for getting necessary order and publishing notification for conducting 'Vadamadu Manjuvirattu' at Ponnampatti Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
