The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the Thasildar, Poonamallee to issue patta in respect of the petitioners land to an extent of 0.30 cents covered under registered Document Nos.334 and 335/1997 in S.No.225/2C Sorancheri A Village (Ayail Cheri) on the file of SRO Poonamallee.

In respect of the land to the extent of 0.30 cents covered under registered Document Nos. 334 and 335/1997 in S.No.225/2C Sorancheri A Village (Ayail Cheri) on the file of SRO Poonamallee, the petitioner seeks for patta. Though an application has been made in this regard, the same since has not been considered by the 2^nd respondent Tahsildar, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

Today when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the 2^nd respondent Tahsildar having conducted the enquiry with regard to the plea raised by the petitioner to get a patta, has sent a detailed report to the Revenue Divisional

I have considered the said development taken place, where the Tahsildar, having conducted an enquiry, has sent a recommendatory report to

the Revenue Divisional Officer concerned to consider the request of the petitioner for grant of patta.

Having regard to the said stand taken by the official respondents viz.,

the revenue department, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order:

That there shall be a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvallur to consider the said recommendatory report given by the Tahsildar / 2^nd respondent dated 02.12.2022 and pass necessary orders on the plea of the petitioner for issuance of patta of the land in question.

The needful as indicated above shall be undertaken by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvallur within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Since the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvallur is not a party respondent in this writ petition, the Registry is directed to mark a copy of this order to the said authority for necessary compliance.

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
