This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to register the sale deed dated 25.11.2021 and release the document in accordance with the provisions of Registration Act, 1908 and grant such other relief which the Honourable Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the case.

Heard Mr.R.Rajarajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

The fourth respondent owned property ad-measuring 6 acres and 98 cents of land comprised in S.No.215, situated at Udaiyamuthur Village, Tirupattur Taluk and District. The petitioner intended to purchase the said property from the fourth respondent and paid the entire sale consideration. Thereafter, the fourth respondent executed a sale deed in favour of the petitioner on 25.11.2021 and presented the same for registration before the third respondent.

However, the third respondent neither registered the same nor refuse to register the same and simply kept the sale deed as pending, without even issuing pending document number.

Considering the above, the third respondent is directed to pass order, either to register or reject the same, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as costs.
