The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the 2^nd respondent to issue electricity connection for the property situated at No. 14, Elaya mudali street, 3^rd Street, Old Washermenpet, Chennai-600 021 admeasuring about 600 sq.ft., with

reference to the CC Deposit dated 02.01.2014 vide Assigned Electricity Connection No. 006-12/13-1496.

The grievances of the petitioner is that the electricity connection is to be provided in the name of the petitioner. However, a Civil Suit between the parties are pending in O.S.No.7486 of 2012 and under these circumstances, the petitioner has to produce all relevant documents before the competent authorities/Electricity Board for the consideration of the claim of the petitioner. The writ petition was filed in the year 2014 and six and half years lapsed.

Under these circumstances, if the civil disputes reached finality or based on the developments occurred during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner is at liberty to submit an application before the competent authority/Electricity Board along with all necessary documents.

In the event of submitting any such application in the prescribed Format along with all necessary documents, the said application is to be considered by the competent authority on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
