Writ peition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records in Proc.Rc.No.3679/A2/2009 dated 03.08.2009 on the file of the 1st respondent herein and quash the same and direct the 1st respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the panel of Superintendent and promote him to the post of Superintendent with effect from 07.03.2007 the date from which the petitioner's immediate junior, the 2nd Respondent from the seniority list dated 16.02.2007 was promoted to the post of Superintendent and sanction the consequential services benefits, namely seniority pay and allowances and pay the arrears of salary to the petitioner.

ORDER
Mr.S.Sadasharam, learned counsel for writ petitioner submits that the captioned writ petition, which pertains to a promotion
panel, has since become infructuous as writ petitioner has since retired from service.

Recording the aforesaid submission of learned counsel on record for writ petitioner i.e., stated position of the writ petitioner, captioned writ petition is disposed as closed (having become infructuous) making it clear that no opinion or view has been expressed on the merits of the matter. There shall be no order as to costs.
