Petitioner has sought for a writ of mandamus, restraining the respondents, from shifting “Sangita Vadyalaya” from Chennai to New Delhi.
2. On this day, when the matter came up for hearing, based on the letter, dated 6/6/2019, Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Development Commissioner (Handi-crafts), addressed to the writ petitioner, President, Southern Handi-craft Industry Association, Chennai, Mr.P.S.Arun Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the competent authority has given his consent that DCMI, at Chennai, be retained at its place along with instruments for the time being. Letter, dated 6/6/2029, of the Assistant Director (C & P), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, reads thus:-
