PRAYER: Writ Appeal filed under Clause 15 of the Letters patent against the order dated 13.02.2013 passed in W.P.No.21770 of 2011 on the file of this Court.
WP.No.21770 of 2011:filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records in connection with the order dated 19.04.2011 passed by the Second respondent in I.D.No.211/2008 and to quash the same.

The appeal has been preferred by the Management against the order passed by the learned Single Judge awarding a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the first respondent / workman while setting aside the award passed in favour of the first respondent,

reinstating him with back wages.
2.Earlier, when the matter was called before this Court, this Court directed both the appellant and the first respondent to settle the matter. Pursuant to that, when the matter is called today, the learned Counsel for the appellant submitted that the matter has been settled and a sum of Rs.80,000/- has been paid by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the first respondent viz., D.D.No.359451 in Central Bank of India. Since the entire amount payable by the appellant including the interest has been paid by way of the above said Demand Draft, nothing survives in this appeal. Further, the appellant needs to be appreciated for taking efforts to settle the matter as per the observations made by this Court. This Court would also appreciate Mr.S.Haja Mohideen Gisthi, learned Counsel for the appellant for his efforts.
3.In the result, this appeal is dismissed. No costs.
Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
