Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to issue community certificate to the children of the petitioner viz., Minor D.Saisaran and Minor D.Lakshya Sai that they belong to "Kurumans (ST) Community" based upon the community certificate already issued to the petitioner and his father, which was confirmed by the State Level Scrutiny Committee by its proceedings No.13545/CVIII/2013 dated 19.02.2015.

The petitioner submitted an application to the Revenue Divisional Officer, requesting to issue a Community Certificate indicating that he belongs to Kurumans community, which is notified as a Scheduled Tribe. The petitioner produced a copy of the Community Certificate issued to his father Thiru K.Gopal, to prove his community status. It is the grievance of the petitioner that notwithstanding the application made on 03 June 2016, follow up action was not taken by the Revenue Divisional Officer. The petitioner is therefore, before this Court.
The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
