Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1^st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representations dated 16.12.2014 and 17.12.2014 respectively, which are seeking regularisation of service and time scale of pay in accordance with law.

The petitioners were appointed as substitute temporary sweepers in the second respondent Corporation on 01.11.1992. They have been serving as sweepers without any break. They requested to regularise their services.

The second respondent Corporation also sent a proposal to the first respondent to regularise the services of the petitioners. The proceedings in Na.Ka.No.12592/2014/h.4, dated 26.12.2014 was issued by the second respondent to the petitioners informing that the

proposal regarding their regularisation is pending with the first respondent and the second respondent recommended for regularisation. The proceedings dated 26.12.2014 is extracted hereunder:

In these circumstances, the petitioners have filed these writ petitions seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of their representations dated 16.12.2014 and 17.12.2014 respectively in the light of the proceedings of the second respondent dated 26.12.2014.

In view of the narrow prayer made, the first respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 16.12.2014 and 17.12.2014 respectively and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law in the light of the proceedings of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.12592/2014/h.4 dated 26.12.2014 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
