The Election Petitioner has come forward with this Civil Revision Petition seeking to direct the Principal District Judge, Vellore to dispose of the I.A.No.178/2013 in Election O.P.No.4/2011 within a time stipulated by this

Considering the limited relief sought for in this petition, notice to the respondents is dispensed with.

The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner submits that the Election Petition has been filed to declare the petitioner as the Panchayat President of Valayathur Village, Timiri Union, Vellore District. In the said Election O.P., Returning Officer, Election Commission and the other contesting respondents filed their written statement and contested the matter.

It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that during the pendency of the Election Petition in Election O.P.No.4/2011, the revision petitioner filed I.A.No.178/2013 under Order 6 Rule 17 and Section 151 CPC sought to amend the main O.P., and seek order for recounting the previous vote of Village Panchayat Election held on 21.10.2011. The learned counsel thus prayed for allowing the present Civil Revision Petition and for a direction to the Court below to dispose of the I.A.No.178/2013.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am of the view that it is a fit case where this Court could direct the Court below to dispose of the I.A., within a short time. Accordingly, the

Principal District Judge, Vellore is directed to dispose of the I.A.No.178/2013 in Election O.P.No.4/2011 within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further it is also directed that the main O.P.No.4/2011 shall also be disposed of finally within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No

costs.
