The petitioner has come up with this writ petition, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant notional promotion to him to the post of Superintendent of Police with all consequential benefits by including him in the panel for the year 2010-2011.

2.When this writ petition has come up today, the learned Government Advocate submitted that already proposal has been submitted to the Government. He has produced a letter of the Director General of Police, in Rc.No.139677/GBJ(2)2013, dated 14.11.2013, wherein the Director General of Police, has stated as follows;

"2.In response to the Government letter 2nd cited regarding High Court Notice in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ W.P.No.12588/2013, filed by Thiru.S.Raman, Additional Superintendent of Police, (Cat-I) (Retd.) requesting notional promotion to the post

of Superintendent of Police, I inform that in this office letter 2nd cited a proposal was sent to Government for inclusion of his name in the panel of DSP (Cat-I) to ADSP (Cat-I) and panel of Additional Superintendent of Police (Cat.I) fit for promotion as Temporary Superintendent of Police (Non Cadre) for the year 2010-2011 and orders of the Government are awaited."

3.In view of the same, no further direction is required in this matter. Hence, this writ petition stands disposed of, recording the above statement of the learned Government Advocate. No costs.
