PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C.

ORDER : The Court Made the following order :-

The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 498(A), 506(i) of I.P.C.and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act in Crime No.53 of 2013 on the file of the respondent Police and hence, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that A2 has already granted bail.

3.Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side).

¶14

4.Considering the submissions made and also considering the fact that already the A2 was enlarged on anticipatory bail, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner with certain conditions.

5.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be enlarged on bail in the event of his arrest or on his appearance, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil, subject to the following conditions:-

(i) The petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/(Rupees Ten thousand only) each with two sureties each for the like sum to the satisfaction of the arresting officer or to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned; and

¶17

(ii)The petitioner shall appear before the respondent police on two Saturdays and Sundays at 10.30 a.m., and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation.
