Being aggrieved by the information published in the website of the Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai, dated 08.09.2011 that the petitioner, has not been selected to the post of B.T.Assistant in the recruitment, for the year 2010-11, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for a writ of certiorarified mandamus to quash the results and consequently prayed for a direction to the Teachers Recruitment Board Chennai to issue an order of appointment to her in the post of Graduate Assistant Teacher (History), as per the employment registration state seniority list, 201011.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that though she had registered her educational particulars, on 22.03.1989, with the District Employment office, due to inadvertent mistake, on the part of the Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai, her candidature has not been considered for selection to the above said post, by erroneously taking the date of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ employment of registration as 22.09.1989.

When the matter came up for hearing on 11.09.2011, this Court directed, Mr.B.Pugalendhi, learned Special Government Pleader, to take notice and directed the Registry to post the writ petition in the motion list. On this day, on instructions, from the Member Secretary, Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai, the first respondent herein, in Rc.No.5009/B2/2011 dated 20.09.2011, he has submitted that the writ petitioner is one among the candidates sponsored by the employment exchange for the post of Graduate Assistant in History under Backward Class communal turn. He has further submitted that the petitioner has come within the zone of selection and that she has been provisionally selected for the above said post and intimation of selection would be sent to the petitioner in due course. Copy of the proceedings referred to above, shall be treated as part of the record.

In view of the provisional selection of the writ petitioner to the post of Graduate Assistant (History) for the year 2010-11, no further adjudication is required. However, there shall be a direction to the Member Secretary, Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai, the first respondent to forward the selection/allotment order to the concerned jurisdictional educational officer so as to enable him to issue the appointment order to the petitioner.

With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
