JUDGMENT

The petitioner states that he is the holder of a regular permit operating in the Tirur-Chaliyum route with his stage carriage bearing Registration No. KL-56/J4577. He has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to the respondents to consider and dispose of Ext. P2 application submitted by the petitioner for revision of timings.

Sri. Prasad Chandran, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that the application for change sought for by the petitioner would come within the purview of Section 145(7) of the Kerala Motor Vehicles Rules.

I have heard Smt. Amminikutty, the learned senior Government Pleader.

After having carefully evaluated the contentions raised in this writ petition, the submissions made across the Bar, and the facts and circumstances, I am of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of at the admission stage itself by issuing the following directions:

a) There will be a direction to the respondent to take up, consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 application after affording an opportunity of being heard, either physically or virtually, to the petitioner herein or his authorized representative.

b) Orders, as directed above, shall be passed

expeditiously, in any event, within two months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment.

c) It would be open to the petitioner to produce a copy

of the writ petition along with the judgment before the concerned respondent for further action.

This writ petition is disposed of.
