JUDGMENT

The petitioner is a resident of Tanur in Malappuram District and is the General Secretary of Mathsyathozhilali Federation (STU), Malappuram District Committee. The petitioner's grievance is regarding the delay in shifting the District fisheries office currently functioning from a dilapidated building in Ponnani, to the newly constructed building at Unnial. Petitioner points out that the building is constructed for the purpose of housing DD office(Fisheries Extension Training Centre). It is alleged that, despite being inconvenience and difficulties faced by the staff and beneficiaries, the District Fisheries Office is not being shifted for reasons best known to the second and the third respondents. Aggrieved by the gross inaction, petitioner has submitted Ext.P3 representation.

Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader.

Learned Government Pleader submits that the issue is under consideration before the Government and appropriate orders will be passed without delay.

The writ petition is hence disposed of directing the petitioner to serve a copy of Ext.P3 representation to the 2nd respondent -Director of Fisheries within two weeks of receipt of a copy of this judgment. In such event, the second respondent

shall consider Ext.P3 representation and take appropriate action thereon within two
