JUDGMENT
The instant writ petition is filed seeking directions to respondents 1 and
2 to issue recognition/equivalency certificate for the course, Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication.
said University is incorporated under Act IX of 1985 by the Government of Sikkim and is recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the University Grants Commission. It is stated that the programme run by the University is approved by the then Distance Education Council. On completion of the course, the petitioner was issued with Ext.P1 Degree Certificate. Seeking the issuance of recognition/equivalency certificate, the petitioner has submitted Ext.P2 application before the respondents 1 and 2. Her grievance is that though the application for recognition/equivalency certificate was filed on 7.4.2022, no orders have been passed to date. It is in the afore circumstances that the petitioner is before this Court seeking

issuance of directions.
two months from the date of filing of the application, that is, on 07.04.2022 if the same is in order.
In that view of the matter, there will be a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to consider Ext.P2 application, if the same is in order, and issue orders
expeditiously, in any event, on or before 7.6.2022. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the writ petition along with the judgment before the concerned respondent to ensure compliance.
This writ petition is disposed of.
