respondents contend that the application for grant of provisional affiliation is processed in terms of the Calicut University Act, the Statutes and orders issued thereon. The meeting of the Syndicate held on 30.1.2019, considered the applications filed by the petitioner and resolved to process the application received. After completing the document verification, the District Level Inspection Commission (DLIC) was requested to conduct physical verification of the college in the proposed location and also to ascertain the essentiality of sanctioning a new college in the proposed locality. The DLIC, after conducting the physical inspection at the proposed college, submitted an inspection report recommending a new Arts and Science College viz., Nalanda Arts and Science College, Velikkad, Palakkad with B.Com(Co-operation) and B.Sc (Mathematics) programme for the academic year 2020-2021. Later, provisional affiliation was granted for commencing the new Self Financing College viz., Nalanda Arts and Science College, Velikkad, Palakkad with B.Com (Co-operation) and B.Sc (Mathematics) programme. Later, as per the letter dated 11.1.2021, the petitioner requested to sanction the other programmes which were mentioned in the application on 28.12.2019 but which were not granted by the University. As the University had already disposed of the petitioner’s application by granting provisional affiliation for two programmes, the said application is no longer valid. It is in the afore circumstances that the petitioner was directed to file fresh application as per Ext.P5 communication which was complied with as is evident from Ext.P4 application.
