When this matter has been taken up for hearing, the learned Public Prosecutor, on instructions, has submitted that the final report had been already filed by the police before the court in Crime No.1036 of 2014 of Mangalapuram police station and the case is presently pending as C.C. No.74 of 2015 before the court of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class-II, Attingal. In view of the above submission of the learned Public Prosecutor, no further direction is required in this Crl.M.C.
In the result, this Crl.M.C. stands closed.
However, this order will not stand in the way of the petitioners in challenging the final report, in accordance with law, if the situation so warrants.
