Ext.P1 is the letter addressed by the Chief Finance and Accounts Officer of the Guruvayur Devaswom Board, to the Secretary, Thiruvampady Devaswom, Thrissur requesting to help videographing certain scenes from the story “Avatharam”. It is stated that the videograph was required for the serial “Sri Krishna Geethi” alone and it was also agreed that the petitioner shall not have any copy right or personal rights except for using the same for the above serial. According to the petitioner he had further agreed that the videographed portions shall be submitted to Devaswom Board and before using the same in serial, petitioner should get the approval for the preview from the Board. It is also stated that the first performance, viz. “Avatharam” was videographed and the further videography got delayed for various reasons. After perfecting and compilation of the videographed portion, it is stated that, the petitioner approached the respondents for submitting the same before the Devaswom Board and further to complete the videograph of the remaining portions, but the officials of the Devaswom Board resisted the same.
