J U D G M E N T

The issue involved in both these writ petitions is one and the same. The petitioners seek for a direction to be given to the first respondent to place Ext.P3 application/s ( in both the cases) submitted by the petitioners to change the class of service as Fast Passenger Service (in view of amendment of the rules; and when the route distance exceeds 140 Kms) along with Ext. P2 application/s for renewal of Ext.P1 permit/s in respect of Stage carriage bearing Nos .KL.5/U 5580 and KL.33/7557 plying in the routes Changanacherry-Murikkassery and ChanganacherryNedumkandam respectively, in the next meeting of the Regional Transport Authority(RTA), Idukki.

The learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submits on instruction, that the respondents do

not have any objection in causing the matter to be considered in the next meeting of the RTA scheduled to be held on 14.02.2012.

In the said circumstance, both the writ petitions are disposed of directing the matter to be placed before the next meeting of the RTA, Idukki scheduled to be held on 14.02.2012 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with the relevant provisions of law with regard to the reliefs sought for.
