J U D G M E N T

The property purchased by the petitioner was the subject matter involved in a Ceiling case. The proceedings were taken up before this Court in C.R.P.No.538 of 2000, which was disposed of as per the order dated 16.11.2007, whereby the Taluk Land Board was directed to consider the matter in the light of the amended provisions of the Kerala Land Reforms Act, ( i.e. Kerala Land Reforms (Amendment ) Act, 2005 (Act 21 of 2006); more particularly in view of Section 7E and 84(4). However, while giving the said direction, no specific time limit was stipulated by this Court and as a result, the matter is still kept pending, which made the petitioner to approach this Court again, by filing this Writ Petition.

Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.

In view of the limited nature of the relief sought for,

this Court does not find it necessary to go into the merits of the case. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to finalise the proceedings in tune with Ext. P2 judgment, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within three months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the second respondent for further steps.
