J U D G M E N T

The petitioner is presently working as H.S.S.T. (Mathematics) in Government Higher Secondary School, Pallickal in Thiruvananthapuram district. She belongs to Muslim community and her husband belongs to Christian community. In the said circumstances, claiming benefit of intercaste marriage as provided under the norms for transfer, the petitioner had submitted Ext.P3 application for transfer. However, ignoring the preferential claim of the petitioner in the matter of transfer, the third respondent was granted transfer as per Ext.P7 to the school opted by the petitioner. Feeling aggrieved by the aforesaid action in ignoring her preferential claim and granting transfer to the third respondent, the petitioner has filed Ext.P8 appeal before the Government. She has raised all her claims and contentions in Ext.P8. Ext.P8 is now pending before the Government.

Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to

the first respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P8, expeditiously, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the
