When this matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner made available a copy of the order No. E1/22926/09/MCT dated 31.3.2010. As per the said order based on the application for Voluntary Retirement submitted by the petitioner, Government have accepted the petitioner's request and relieved him off duties with effect from 1.4.2010. This is recorded and this writ petition is accordingly closed.
