J U D G M E N T

Petitioners are working as Head Nurses in the E.S.I Dispensary at Kottarakara and Kilikolloor respectively. The 1^st petitioner has been transferred to Ezhukone and the 2^nd petitioner has been transferred to Paripally. Petitioners are aggrieved by these transfers. They have brought their grievance to the notice of the 1^st respondent and 2^nd respondent vide Exhibits P4 and P5. They have also raised a grievance regarding the fact that the promotion post to that of Head Nurse namely that of Nursing Superintendent Gr.II are lying vacant in the Department and there is no justification for keeping the said vacancies unfilled.

After having heard the Learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader also, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 2^nd respondent to look into Exhibits P4 and P5 with reference to the objections of the petitioners as regards the transfer and also with regard to their plea for filling

up the vacancies in the post of Nursing Superintendent Gr.II and take an appropriate decision thereon, after hearing the petitioners, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
