The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation/objection of the petitioner dated 21.10.2024 and 16.03.2023 vide Annexures-A and B.

Respondent No.2 has filed an affidavit dated 10.02.2025 stating that, the provisional list of Professors who are eligible to be considered for selection as Dean and Director of Bengaluru Medical College and Research Institute is challenged before the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in WP No.5941/2023 and the representations filed by the petitioner was not considered, awaiting the decision of the Division Bench of this Court in WA No.439/2022 and the decision of the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in WP No.5941/2023. It is stated that, therefore the delay was caused in finalising the provisional list of Professors for appointment to the post of Dean-cum-Director.

WA No.439/2022, has directed the respondents to appoint a Dean-cum-Director. Pursuant to the directions issued by the Division Bench of this Court, respondent No.2 has already appointed a Dean-cum-Director. The said fact has not been disputed by learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the same, nothing further survives for consideration in this writ petition.
