In this writ petition, petitioner has sought for a writ of mandamus to the respondent - State to restore the security cover of one gunman to the petitioner.

Having taken note of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, particularly learned Additional Government Advocate, whereby it is submitted that, the security was provided to the petitioner and thereafter as

there was no threat for life of the petitioner, same was withdrawn.

In that view of the matter, I am of the opinion that, if the petitioner is having any apprehension about threat to his life, then it is open for the petitioner to make a representation to the concerned Superintendent of Police / authority, seeking security and if such a representation is made, same shall be considered by the respondent - authority in accordance with law.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
