The matter is moved for closure of these proceedings on account of settlement arrived at between the accused and the victim. The allegation in the charge sheet are for offences punishable under Sections 354A, 354C, 511, 506, 341, 504, 376 and 323 of IPC. The offences so alleged cannot be compounded by way of a settlement between the parties. They are offences against the Society.
