The guidelines as per OM cited at reference (2) further stipulate that permission/sanction granted under Rule 15(1) (c) of Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964, be reviewed and revoked where the Government servants have been holding office in any body, whether incorporated or not for more than 4 years (now modified as 5 years) or in cases there are charges of corruption, adverse audit paras etc., In such cases, the Government servant concerned may be directed to resign from his office in such body immediately. He/she will cease to discharge any function from the date of such direction is conveyed to him irrespective of the fact whether his/her resignation from the body is accepted or not. In accordance with the above guidelines/instructions, the permission granted to the officials under Rule 15 (1)(c) of CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 vide Memo cited at ref. (4) has been reviewed. On review, it is noticed that the following Officers, who are currently holding elective office in Coffee Board Employees Co-Operative Housing Society for the period 2020-2025 have held elective office in the said Society for more than two terms/period of five years and therefore, in compliance with the above guidelines, sanction granted to them under Rule 15 (1)(c) of CCS (Conduct) Rules,1964 vide Memo cited at ref. (4) is revoked with immediate effect.
