The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioners praying therein for a direction upon the respondent no.3 for acceptance of rent and issuance of rent receipt in their favour in connection with the land measuring 2.47 acres situated at different 17 plots of Khata No.13 situated Village Bhelwara, P.S.Hazaribagh, Dist. Hazaribagh.

2. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant writ application may be disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent no.3-Circle Officer for issuance of rent receipt.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that since no counter affidavit has been filed, as such the instant writ application may be disposed of by directing the respondent no.3, who shall verify the record and pass an appropriate order.

Having regard to the aforesaid fact and circumstance of the case, the instant writ application is hereby disposed of by directing the concerned respondent to treat this writ application as representation and take a decision in the matter with regard to the claim made by the petitioners in accordance with law and applicable Rules and Regulations by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. One of the petitioners is also directed to serve a copy of this writ application to the concerned Respondent (Circle Officer) along with a copy of this Order at the earliest.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the instant writ application stands disposed of. Pending I.A.s if any, also closed.
