The petitioner has filed this writ application for issuance of direction upon the respondents for fixing his salary in revised pay scale of 5^th and 6^th Pay revision and other consequential benefits in accordance with the recommendation of the 5^th and 6^th Pay revision commmission.

The petitioner was appointed as college bus driver at J.J. College, Jhumri Telaiya vide appointment letter dated 01.03.1985. The petitioner subsequently retired from the said post on 31.01.2017.

It was submitted that the petitioner is entitled for the benefits of pay scale of 5^th and 6^th pay revision commission. The petitioner has also made a representation before the respondent no. 3 Director, Higher, Technical Education and Skill Development Department, Govt. of Jharkhand, having its office at Nepal House, Doranda, District Ranchi making the aforesaid prayer on 19.03.2024 but no order has been passed on the representation made by the petitioner.

It was further submitted that the respondent no. 5 Registrar, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag has also made a recommendation to the respondent no. 3 Director, Higher, Technical Education and Skill Development Department, Govt. of Jharkhand, having its office at Nepal House, Doranda, District Ranchi for granting the petitioner revising the salary as recommended by 5^th and 6^th pay revision commission.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no. 4 Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag through its Vice-Chancellor, District Hazaribag submitted that the petitioner is entitled for pay revision as per recommendation of 5^th and 6^th pay revision commission.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent nos. 2 & 3 Secretary, Higher, Technical Education and Skill Development Department, Govt. of Jharkhand, having its office at Nepal House, Doranda, district Ranchi and Director, Higher, Technical Education and Skill Development Department, Govt. of Jharkhand, having its office at Nepal House, Doranda, district Ranchi respectively assure that representation of the petitioner filed before the respondent no. 3 will be taken within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and assurances given by the respondents, this writ application is being disposed of with the direction to respondent no. 3 Director, Higher, Technical Education and Skill Development Department, Govt. of Jharkhand, having its office at Nepal House, Doranda, District Ranchi to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 19.03.2024 in accordance with law within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order with further information to the petitioner within two weeks from the passing of this order.

This writ application is disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
