The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Mohanpur P.S. Case No. 47/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 20 (B) (II) (B) of the N.D.P.S., Act, pending in the Court of learned District and Sessions Judge cum Special Judge, Deoghar.
On 08.04.2024, Mohanpur Police intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration No. JH 15AE 5191 and apprehended this petitioner along with other co-accused persons. On search, 14.6 kgs of cannabis were recovered from the said vehicle.
It was submitted that the quantum of seized cannabis comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was further submitted that other coaccused persons who were apprehended along with the petitioner have been granted bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court. It was finally submitted that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent.
In view of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned District and Sessions Judge cum Special Judge, Deoghar in connection with Mohanpur P.S. Case No. 47/2024.
