None appears on behalf of the O.P. No.2 despite valid service of notice.

The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Baliapur P.S. Case No.42 of 2023.

It has been alleged that after marriage the informant was subjected to torture by the accused persons including the petitioner for non-fulfillment of the demand of dowry and ultimately, she was ousted from the matrimonial house and she had to admit herself in the hospital on account of the injuries suffered by her due to the assault committed by her in-laws.

So far as the petitioner is concerned, he appears to be father-in-law of the informant. The allegations are general and omnibus in nature against the petitioner. Moreover, the co-accused who happens to be the sister-in-law of the informant namely Kulshum Bibi has been granted anticipatory bail by this court in A.B.A. No.2282 of 2024.

Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The petitioner accordingly is directed to surrender before the learned court below within a period of four weeks and on his surrender, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1^st Class, Dhanbad in connection with Baliapur P.S. Case No.42 of 2023, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
