The petitioner is an accused in connection with Mayurhand P.S. Case No. 80 of 2020.
It has been alleged that the photograph of the informant along with Punit Kumar Singh was found in the mobile of the petitioner. When the photograph was made viral, the informant faced disgrace in the society and attempted to commit suicide.
It appears that it was the petitioner as well as the Navin Kumar Das who was asking for sexual favour from the informant for not making the photo viral and subsequently publishing it which projected the informant as a woman of easy virtue. It appears that the case of the petitioner is similar to that of Navin Kumar Das who has been granted bail by this Court in B.A. No. 2017 of 2021. The petitioner is in custody since 28.09.2020.
Regard being had to the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned District & Additional Sessions Judge-I, Chatra in connection with Mayurhand P.S. Case No. 80 of 2020.
