24/09.10.2020: In this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the respondent authorities to conclude the investigation of Palkot P.S., Case No. 19/2018 (G.R. No. 378 of 2018) as the same is still pending and has not yet been concluded. Heard the counsel for the parties at length.
I find that FIR was registered against unknown. The husband of the petitioner went missing and later on, his dead body was recovered and it was alleged that the husband of the petitioner has been murdered. The police is investigating this case and counter affidavit has already been filed stating therein that till date no conclusive proof has been gathered against any particular person(s).
Counsel for the State submits that till date the investigation is going on and the same will be concluded at the earliest.
In view of the aforesaid submission, I direct the Investing Officer to investigate the case and submit a report as early as possible without any further delay. Accordingly, this petition stands disposed of .
