Heard the learned counsel for the respective sides.

Defects No. 5(e) and 9(i), as pointed out by the office, are ignored.

The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Basal P.S. Case No. 04 of 2020.

The police party were on patrolling duty during Lockdown and it is alleged that some persons carrying coal on bicycles fled away on seeing the police party. While the bicycles and the coal loaded therein were being seized, the petitioner and others had arrived and protested the act of the police. They had abused the police personnel and had also manhandled them. The situation could be brought under control with the arrival of extra force.

It appears that as per the F.I.R., the petitioner was leading the mob. It further appears that several other named accused persons were also protesting the act of the police and had taken part in the abuses and manhandling of the police personnel and the said accused persons have been granted anticipatory bail by the learned court below. The petitioner seems to have been singled out for leading the mob.

On consideration of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The petitioner accordingly is directed to surrender before the learned court below within four weeks from today and on such surrender, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1^st Class, Ramgarh in connection with Basal P.S. Case No. 04 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
